WEEK 2 / THE NEXT DECISION

WR injury insurance and RB depth

Stribling was dropped in the public Tuesday transaction log; the current roster has 14 players and an open bench spot. Watson’s 33.70 already gives this roster a receiver to compare. Use the vacancy for useful receiver or running-back depth, not an injured name by default. Judkins is already rostered. Sampson’s confirmed IR move and McLaughlin’s signing leave the depth split unresolved; wait for role evidence before prioritizing Sanders, whose Week 1 workload was limited.

THE FRANCHISE STORY

The Eyrie. Their house.

Protect the Nest

The Hawk’s Nest was founded high in the Blue Ridge Mountains, where swirling winds and steep terrain shaped a franchise built around vision, patience, and sudden violence. Original owner Eleanor Hawthorne constructed The Eyrie into a wooded mountainside, giving spectators breathtaking views and visiting teams an unnerving sense of isolation. The franchise earned its identity during its first championship season.

Trailing late in the final game, three defensive interceptions transformed certain defeat into victory. Supporters began calling the secondary the hawks, and the stadium soon became known simply as The Nest. Every home game begins with a ceremonial red tailed hawk circling above the field before returning safely to its handler.

Players touch a bronze nest positioned beside the tunnel and promise to defend their territory. The Hawk’s Nest watches, waits, and attacks when escape becomes impossible. Visitors are welcome in The Eyrie. Leaving with a victory is considerably more difficult.
