Lamar Jackson scored 63, D’Andre Swift 62, Bijan Robinson 46, Justin Jefferson 44 and the Vikings defense 41. Queen answered with Caleb Williams’ absurd 87 and Nico Collins’ 28, but this was not a duel. It was a stack of hammers landing on one side of the scoreboard.
The Rebels won even while carrying a zero from Kyle Pitts Sr. and a zero from Jaylen Waddle. That is the most insulting part. When a team crosses 300 with two lineup sinkholes, the rest of the league starts checking for structural weaknesses. DJ Moore’s 32 kept the receiver room upright, and even DK Metcalf’s modest 8 in the W/R slot hardly mattered once Swift and Jefferson went orbital. Original projections had the Rebels at 218; they cleared that by 85.
Queen in the North got the week’s most outrageous quarterback total from Williams and still lost by 73 because the rest of the lineup behaved like an apology. Christian McCaffrey scored 17, Saquon Barkley 16, Malik Nabers 13, Rome Odunze 10 and Colston Loveland zero. The bench made the defeat look worse. Isaiah Likely scored 39 at tight end, Parker Washington 28 at receiver and Brock Purdy 59 at quarterback. Likely and Washington offer legal hindsight comparisons; Purdy would actually have reduced the quarterback score. None of those final totals proves an obvious pregame choice.
The current rosters now show the first verified repair on the winning side: Roll’s Rebels have replaced Pitts with Hunter Henry for Week 2. That move does not erase the Week 1 zero, but it does acknowledge reality. Queen’s current roster is unchanged, so Likely deserves a serious Week 2 comparison with Loveland rather than an automatic promotion from one box score. Rebels face Real Life Al Bundy next; Queen gets Mr. McGibblets. One team enters loudly. The other enters audited.
