Paintin’ Manning beat Accomplished Accomplice 238-189, a final captured at 8:26 a.m. Pacific Tuesday, and the separation came from breadth more than one nuclear score. Ashton Jeanty’s 53 led the way, Trey McBride added 31, Jaxon Smith-Njigba 36, Ladd McConkey 28 and Cam Skattebo 28. Accomplished Accomplice had Jahmyr Gibbs’ 60, but then spent the rest of Sunday stepping on rakes.

Accomplice opened as a projected favorite at 241-233 and then watched the lineup unravel. Terry McLaurin scored 2, Jameson Williams 9, Tee Higgins 11, Harold Fannin Jr. 4, De’Von Achane 13 and Cameron Dicker 2. That is too much dead air around Gibbs. The bench deepened the embarrassment. Zay Flowers scored 42, Dalton Kincaid 26 and Jaxson Dart 69. The legal hindsight comparisons are worth studying, while the reasons for the original choices remain unverified.

Paintin’ was not flawless either. George Pickens scored 5, Jadarian Price just 11, Harrison Mevis 1 and the Chargers defense 10. Yet the bench damage stayed manageable because the starters at premium spots were strong enough. Kyle Monangai’s 36 on the bench is the most notable hindsight case: a legal W/R upgrade over Price worth 25 points. Bryce Young’s 84 on the bench over Justin Herbert’s 35 was another thunderclap, though it matters now mostly because Paintin’ acted on it immediately.

Tuesday’s current roster proves that last point. Paintin’ now starts Bryce Young at quarterback and has replaced Mevis and the Chargers with Evan McPherson and the Buccaneers for Week 2. The quarterback switch is new Tuesday; the kicker and defense changes were already in place. Those current choices are verified; they do not change the 238 on the board, but they reduce the chance of another self-inflicted leak. Accomplished Accomplice, meanwhile, gets Lasso’s Goldfish next and must decide whether Flowers, Kincaid or Dart can remain luxury pieces on a team that just scored 189.

Thursday beat update: Accomplished Accomplice: Receiver insurance while Flowers is monitored. Flowers was absent from Wednesday practice in Baltimore’s report; his final game status remains pending. Paintin’ Manning: Receiver cover and a McBride follow-up. Pierce’s full Wednesday practice helps while McConkey remains under review. These are Week 2 planning notes; they do not rewrite the completed Week 1 result, and current ownership still needs a same-league Yahoo check.
